City of Roseville Utility Exploration Center

“Barbara Punt was a wonderful addition to our project team. This was my first large-scale exhibit overhaul project and I was looking for support in understanding the process, thinking proactively, and providing actionable feedback for our designers to eliminate circular conversations. Barbara’s vast knowledge and firsthand experience made her invaluable in this role. She was very patient with my questions, taking the time needed to answer them and also explaining the why behind her answers. Barbara brought a level of experience and confidence that elevated the whole project team. I am truly excited about the designs we have for our exhibit overhaul and look forward to seeing them come to life.”

Story

Final design and construction are underway on this unique discovery center, designed to help the citizens of Roseville understand how their public utilities, so often invisible to our eyes, function to improve our lives every day.

Punt Consulting Group was chosen to serve as the Owner’s Representative for this project, to help the project team “be a better client” (that was literally our scope!). The biggest challenge was integrating the input and feedback from disparate City departments into one cohesive voice to give the design team actionable feedback.

As the project got to the fabrication phase, we helped the City of Roseville understand the nuances of crafting a viable RFP within the municipal rules in order to select and contract with the most effective vendors for this multifaceted project.
