Kidspace Children’s Museum had a previous incarnation in a small room in downtown Pasadena and was moving into beautiful old buildings being renovated adjacent to the Rose Bowl. Due to a long hiatus without an Executive Director the project was badly off track. The project management company had neglected to get the architect, exhibit fabricator, or specialty suppliers under contract and there was no formal process in place for change order pricing or approval.
Punt Consulting Group was brought in to write a project assessment for the Board, provide a forensic accounting of where the funds had gone, and develop change order, payment, and accounting procedures. Ultimately the Board hired Punt Consulting Group to step in and get all the parties under contract, re-establish trust between the project team members and get the Museum completed on time for their Grand Opening.
